2 week International Immersion

Learn Chinese in Beijing – where culture, history and modern life exist side-by-side

Imagine arriving in one of the most exciting cities in the world — where breakfast is steamed buns from a street stall, where temples built a thousand years ago sit next to neon shopping districts, and where people, language and movement fill every moment. This programme is your chance to experience Beijing from the inside: living on a real university campus, practising Chinese in everyday life, and growing your confidence through real immersion rather than classroom theory alone. If you're curious, adventurous, and want to learn by living, Beijing is where your story expands.

Immersion Overview

Over 14 days you’ll explore Beijing, learn through cultural workshops, make teaching resources, and visit local schools to experience language education in action. You will see how maths, art and cultural learning takes place in authentic classrooms, connect with local teachers, and expand your understanding of how Chinese is taught and learned in China today. This is a chance to deepen your language knowledge, gain new teaching insights, and strengthen your connection to Chinese culture.

Why Beijing?

Beijing is electric — a city that is ancient, modern, traditional and dynamic all at once. One day you may wander the narrow hutongs, drinking tea and hearing local stories, and the next you’re standing beneath the Great Wall or watching students fill the streets with energy and ambition. It’s a place where language comes alive in food, transport, conversation and everyday life — where every moment becomes a learning moment. You won’t just study Chinese here. You will live it.

You’ll Return With More Than Language

Expect to leave China with stronger Mandarin skills, better teaching strategies, new friendships, and deep cultural understanding. You’ll return with ideas, memories, inspiration — and the confidence to bring Chinese to life for your students back home.
