Strengthening Language Learning in Aotearoa

Growing educators | Growing global citizens

We prepare teachers, kaiako and communities by delivering languages pedagogy designed to inspire and uplift.

We understand that in a rapidly changing world — and in a richly diverse Aotearoa, our classrooms are becoming increasingly multilingual and multicultural.

We are embedded in the New Zealand education sector, we work in partnership with schools, governments and partners and we bring both local context and global best practice to every engagement.

Our practise honours New Zealand Sign, Pacific, Asian, European languages and te reo Māori.

Networks that power up language learning

We work closely with language associations, universities, overseas governments, other PLD providers and business associations, delivering quality support and opportunities for teachers. These relationships help teachers build cultural connections to enrich language learning in the classroom and more broadly in the communities they serve.

Loved by the teaching community

"This course has helped me to focus on what is important as a leader; building high trust relationships; use data to inform decision making how to have challenging conversations and most importantly to prioritise teaching and learning within the department."

"Encouraging learners not only to acquire linguistic competence, but also to engage thoughtfully and ethically with cultural diversity."

"It motivates me to keep in mind, when designing learning activities, the importance of including students' voices, increasing their input, and gradually releasing responsibility to them so they can take ownership of their learning."

"The Ellis Principles and Newton et al with the Intercultural communicative language teaching principles gave me a broader view of how to be more intentional and explicit with my teaching."

"My lessons have already become more engaging; my learners are invested and learning more."

"I think my big takeaway from the GROW programme was that I need to offer choice and challenge to my students."
